The Set-up

We had three chrysalis ready to hatch. The angels were guarding the forest from Scout. Lights up and this shot just happened.

Lois got a perfect silhouette of the scene she wanted to depict in action.

" For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways"

Maybe Stalking...

Scout was fascinated.

We spent 4 summers home hatching and getting a great pictorial study of the Monarch transformation courtesy of Lois Charlton.

Thanks for all the butterflies Lois, we (Scout & I) had a lot of fun doing home metamorphosis and I made a forever friend, you!

When seeing the monarch through the chrysalis you know it's time for a another awesome 'Way-out Metamorphosis'.

Lois made us a permanent "Butterfly Du Jour"

Scout thought it was real and kept hitting the china cabinet so I had to put it away safe. He said meow (thats, cat-thanks)

We all miss Lois and I cherish all the photo opportunities she gave me during our 4 year study of the metamorphosis of a Monarch butterfly.
